Mike and Becky Crandall have been Cru Missionaries in Orlando, Florida since 1978. Mike works with managing , finding, and equipping new missionaries and Becky helps with the onboarding of the new missionary staff.
This season, since school has started, the missionaries are meeting students from all over the world. Please pray that the students will hear the Gospel and respond. Mike hopes to invite the students, as the missionaries cultivate relationships with new students, to help the ministry in a variety of ways. This enables students to take small steps of faith that God is asking them to take.
Becky and Mike and others at Cru are busy training about 40 missionaries, currently, most of whom will serve in a variety of overseas locations. Please pray that God will meet their needs and strengthen their faith.
One particular student, named Yinna, is a student at the University of Yucatan in Mexico. She grew up in a Mayan speaking family and never had the chance to hear about Jesus until she came to university. She first met Jesus when a friend, on campus, approached her and asked if she could pray for Yinna. Yinna was going through a hard time and was touched that her friend would pray for her, even if she thought her friend was a little strange.
The friend also invited her to come to church and Yinna asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. As her faith grew, Yinna’s life became filled with gratitude. She said, “I found Cru and began to grow in faith , learning about the assurance of my salvation and my relationship with God.” Yinna wanted her life to be a bridge, bringing Jesus to communities that otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to hear about Him.
