International Justice Mission

IJM (International Justice Mission) is a global organization that helps protect people living in poverty from violence in 20 different countries. They rescue, rehabilitate survivors, hold perpetrators accountable & help strengthen public justice systems. Laws exist, but they are not enough.

In Lima, Peru, those who have survived and have been rescued have joined together to design an advocacy plan with the help of IJM. That plan is to work directly with people who hold power – police commanders, local authorities, & community leaders – to build trust, so protection is put into action. Action is needed first where the risk begins to ensure protection is enforced so abusers can’t reach targeted victims, especially women and children. Engaging the people in power to enforce protection is what saves lives. This Easter, IJM celebrates a hope that doesn’t stay buried. Online stories of successful rescues, justice being enforced, and rehabilitation occurring are shared by the voices of survivors.

The Ghana Survivor Network was formed, and James is a survivor speaking out after 10 years of being traumatized in human slavery.  Another survivor was coerced by an online scam “factory”. The key to dismantling these criminal networks is holding traffickers accountable for their atrocities.

We are part of a larger story of redemption. Because of our support, survivors are finding freedom, justice is being restored, and light is breaking through in places of darkness. Thank you for being part of this story. Together, unified, we can make a difference! Please join IJM with your prayers. If you would like to donate, visit ijm.org.

Thank you from IJM, and God bless you.
