Dave & Ginger Muchmore

Dave and Ginger Muchmore have dedicated their lives to discipling and bringing God’s Word to others. They began working in Haiti with Crossworld Mission in 1981. They have transitioned to working primarily stateside, while their daughter Judy and husband Manis remain in ministry in Haiti.

Haiti is in the midst of an economic and political crisis marked by anarchy, widespread hunger, and brutal gang activity. Voodoo worship is engrained into everyday life. But, in the midst of this, the Muchmores continue to bring the light of the Gospel into the darkness of evil. The name of their mission is Lemuel, a Hebrew word meaning “devoted to God”. It exists “to embody the love of Jesus Christ by combating poverty through holistic development” by providing work opportunities for the men of the community including making cement blocks for building and growing food in garden

plots to feed their families and to sell if the harvest produces enough. Drought is a continual problem on the plateau. The mission operates a highly respected Christian school from Kindergarten through high school, which employs many people in various professions from teachers to cooks. Besides offering an education to the children, the school provides a nutritious breakfast and lunch so the children don’t go hungry. Judy is the administrator of the school. Parents provide a small monetary amount for their child to attend, but they have very little money to apply to the cost of enrollment.

Dave is presently in Haiti until Oct. 2 bringing needed supplies, encouragement, and Biblical teaching to Manis, the staff, and the congregation. Please be praying that:

• Dave is able to accomplish all that God has planned for this visit.
• Judy’s health issues remain under control.
• Ginger will have Godly wisdom as she cares for her elderly father at home.
• Ani, Dave and Ginger’s granddaughter, makes a smooth transition from living in Haiti all her life to living with Dave and Ginger her Senior year in preparation for college.
