Ethel is a dear retired missionary living in the Concord/Painesville area and attends Leroy Community Chapel.  She and her husband Roy served for over 50 years through United World Missions. They began in 1949 in Cuba until 1961, when the Communist Castro regime forced them to leave. The remaining years were served church planting, discipling, and teaching in Guatemala.

Ethel celebrated her 97th birthday this past March! After retiring from tutoring Spanish at 90 years old, she began writing a book for her family about their lives, their call to Cuba in the 50’s, and their Guatemala church planting adventures. Many of the church plants are still carried on by those they discipled and their families. Ethel’s real life stories assure us that our God is always faithful and will supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. You will be forever changed by her the stories and history she lived during those years. Her book is available to purchase. Contact the church office for Ethel’s contact into.  She enjoys emails, cards and visits.
