Courtnee has been a member of the Cru staff for almost 27 years!
In the fall season of 2025, she attended a National Staff Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with more than 3,000 Cru missionaries. Included was a strong focus on Transformational Prayer, which assists in taking the gospel to the innermost parts of a person’s heart. At the conference, prayer rooms were offered for quiet reflection, and one was available for Transformation Prayer appointments. In the middle of this formation was a garden to plant “prayer seeds” and write short prayers on garden stakes. Their keynote speaker was Beth Guckenberger, a former Cru board member and founder of Back to Back Ministries. She described the spiritual heritage that builds when generations hold onto the faith and follow the Lord.
Beginning January of 2026 and running through April, online Transformational Prayer Courses are being offered for 120 Cru missionaries and 20 partners from 31 countries.
This semester, in-person Transformational Prayer sessions will take place at several Cru conferences, which Courtnee plans on traveling to.
Courtnee’s prayer requests:
1. Transformation Prayer: safe travel to in-person trainings, good health, and fruitful ministry equipping other Cru missionaries.
2. Spiritual Health: for ministry worker’s hearts & souls while they are being equipped to minister to others.
3. Spiritual Multiplication: for ministry workers to integrate their training into their discipleship strategies.
4. Courtnee’s family: for wisdom as parents who are guiding their 3 children as they navigate life & friendships. Pray also for Courtnee’s mother as she recovers from open heart surgery in January.
5. Personal prayer & funding team: to continue the growth of her team of partners who pray for her and give financially to her full-time work.
