MINISTRY UPDATE SUMMARY

SENIOR HIGH BOOK STUDY

We have two summer book studies starting Monday, June 8th for senior high students (rising 10th grade & up). These will be taking place virtually until we have clearance to meet in person.

  • Girls will be going through the book Identity Theft: Reclaiming the Truth of our Identity in Christ.
  • Guys will be going through the book Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God's Work.

The books are on us; so we just need to know that your student is interested and we'll have one delivered to you! Please send an email directly to tbarlow@leroychapel.org and we'll work out the details.

PARENTS Q&A MEETING - JUNE 29TH

For all parents involved in Unify, we will be hosting a virtual Q&A meeting on Monday, June 29 at 7PM via Zoom.

With COVID-19, I'm sure it's been a season of information overload as we've all had to adjust; and as a ministry we've been laying low for the season as the situation has evolved. It feels appropriate to touch base now as we start to transition into our "new normal"— we want to hear your thoughts, concerns about the upcoming ministry year, and also share what we have planned and hope to accomplish.

The online meeting link will be sent out in a separate email as we get closer to the meeting. If you think of any questions you have before the meeting, please send them via email— it'll help things run more smoothly when we're meeting virtually.

MINISTRY RELEASE FORMS

For each year, we have to renew our release forms for each student. This gives us the info we need to keep them safe under our care. Please take a moment and fill out the form below that will cover your student for all ministry activities for the 2020-21 school year.

OTHER UPDATES
  • This year Debby and I have decided to open Unify to 6th graders, if parents feel comfortable with them joining us. A separate email is going to families with 6th / 7th graders to outline how "moving up" will look this year.
  • Summer Nights is on hold for the time being, but we are preparing to immediately resume once we are cleared to do so. When we resume, you can expect it will be on Friday nights from 6pm to 9pm.
  • We are putting plans together for an event specifically for our junior high students (rising 6th - 9th grades); more details to come as we get cleared to meet again.
  • Wednesday Night Abide is expected to resume on Sept 16th, with Sunday Morning Focus resuming around that time as well. If all goes to plan, we will be in our new space at the Cornerstone starting then as well!
