POSITION SUMMARY

Leroy Community Chapel (LCC) is seeking an eager Associate Pastor to assist our Lead Pastor in shepherding our membership & extended church family. LCC is an elder-led, bible-believing, non-denominational church based in Leroy, OH. While serving this vital need within our fellowship, we also envision this role to develop and expand over time, under intentional discipleship by our Lead Pastor and others to carry out the mission of LCC.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet the qualifications of an elder as described in 1 Timothy 3, with an unambiguous testimony of transformation by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a ministry-related field.
  • Alignment and ability to teach the Word of God in accordance with the LCC Statement of Faith.
  • A traceable path of ministry involvement and volunteering leading to a pastoral role; demonstrating competency in the areas of mission, effective ministry, and leadership character. 
  • Affinity and ability to form God-honoring relationships with students & young adults; understanding the needs & challenges of younger generations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pastoral Staff Member

  • Collaborate with other staff members during weekday office hours.
  • Lead the congregation as part of our Sunday morning worship services.
  • Teach on a weekly basis (e.g. adult classes, ministry events).
  • Attend & support special church events, as needed (e.g. weddings, funerals).
  • Opportunity for flexible work arrangements (at the discretion of the Lead Pastor).


Director of Next Generation Ministries

  • In tandem with ministry coordinators, set goals for each ministry in alignment with the church mission & theme set forth by the elders. Evaluate & share progress with fellow directors and Lead Pastor.
  • Provide pastoral care & servant-hearted leadership for ministry coordinators & their teams. Participate in ministry activities as agreed with coordinators.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • The expected starting base salary for the position is $45,000 - $55,000 (commensurate with experience and education) with a review at six (6) months of employment.
  • Health and dental benefits for employee, spouse, and children; premiums covered by LCC.
  • After two (2) years employment, opportunity for retirement fund & continuing education benefits.
  • In the first year, 12 days of PTO plus 10 paid holidays.
  • Personal ministry care & support plan developed with Lead Pastor.
