Selby is a southerner by birth and rearing; living in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Oklahoma before coming to North East Ohio in 1985. He is a graduate of North Georgia College and later received an MS from Clemson University. In the early 1990’s Selby received an EMBA from Cleveland State University. Selby is a lover of science. He worked for more than thirty-five years in fields related to color science as a practitioner, lab manager and business director. Many of those years spent at Plasticolors’ and later Chromaflo Technologies in Ashtabula, Ohio.
As a life-long learner, Selby has spent much of his adult years learning about the God of Sacred Scripture, who pursues those He loves. Selby’s evolving passion is to explore God's word and seek to understand how the message of Jesus Christ applies to every facet of life.
Selby and his wife, Angie, live in Painesville, Ohio and have been attending LCC since early 2011. “Angie is the most wonderful person I have met. She is truly a great joy and delight, a marvelous wife and my dearest friend.” The Lord has blessed us with two adult daughters, Connie and Beth, a son-in-law, Paul and two grandchildren Kahlan and Isaac.
