Disciples Academy – Fall 2010

Disciples Academy – Fall 2010 Schedule
The Disciples Academy exists to further equip the body of Leroy Community Chapel for personal, spiritual progress and greater effectiveness in ministry.
This fall we will be alternating classes from week to week. One week we will be studying “Helping People Change”, a systematic approach to how God uses people as instrumetns of change in the lives of each other. On the off weeks, we will be having our CORE classes, which teach biblical truths on the Gospel, Doctrine and Mission. Upone completion of the CORE Classes, you will be eligible for membership to Leroy Community Chapel.

Classes take place on Wednesday evenings, at 6:30 p.m., in the Adult Classroom in the lower level of the Chapel.

Helping People Change: 9.15, 9.29, 10.13, 10.27, 11.3, 11.10, 12.1, 12.8
CORE Classes: 9.22, 10.6, 10.20, 11.3, 12.1, 12.8

Children of the World Choir Concert

NEW! Young Adult Life Group

Young Adult Life Group
Mark and Michelle Spansel will be starting a new Life Group for those young adults – single or married, who look to establish life firmly on the Word and committed to the church. They are eager to invest their lives in this new generation. If this sounds like you, give them a call and let them know you want to be a part of this group at 440/853-8213.

Student Club Ministries Kick-off!

Clubs Ministry
As part of our commitment to grown children in their understanding of the Gospel, we offer mid-week Bible Clubs. Clubs minister to children in grades K-12 and meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the academic school year.

This year we will be kicking off our Clubs year with a special concert. The Children of  the World Choir will be joining us for a free concert on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Click here to learn more about the choir and to hear some past performances.

To register your child(ren) for Clubs, print off a copy of the form (Boys or Girls) and return it and any fees to the church office at Leroy Community Chapel, 12920 SR 86, Leroy, OH 44077.

Mastering Motherhood Kick – Off!

Calling all Moms!
Mastering Motherhood is starting it’s new ministry year on September 16, 2010.  The new semester will kick off with a brunch from 9:15-11:30am.  Mastering Motherhood meets in the downstairs meeting room in the Chapel.

Come and join each meeting for hot food, fellowship and a devotion.  After that, 4 book studies are available for more intimate fellowship, friendship and prayer! See you there!

LCC Men’s Retreat

LCC Men’s Retreat
Who:    Men of Leroy Community Chapel (along with your male friends, family, neighbors, coworkers)
What:  The 2010 LCC Men’s Retreat
When:  Saturday, October 2-  Sunday, October 3
Where: Round Lake Christian Camp – Lakeville, OH
Cost: $65 per individual / $130 max per family

Pastor Ken Flower will be this year’s guest speaker. Ken is currently the Pastor of Student Ministries at Northpoint Evangelical Free Church in Corona, CA. Ken is a graduate of Talbot Theological Seminary and loves to teach the Word of God. Not only does Ken have great skill in handling the Word, but he cares deeply about seeing it take root in the heart of his hearers. Ken and his wife, Beth, will soon be joining a church planting team aimed at building healthy churches in the Columbus, OH area. Come and take advantage of one of God’s gifts to the Body of Chirst in sitting under Pastor Ken.
